Moot Club

Al Azhar Law College has a vibrant and active mooting culture. The AALC Moot Club is a student run club under the guidance of faculty co-coordinators, which seeks to channelize the students on the mooting path. The AALC Moot Club embodies the indefeasible passion for mooting that the Institute cherishes as its own. The AACL Moot Club is a team of dedicated students and faculties who continuously work towards achieving new heights in the mooting arena.

The primary goal of the AACL Moot Club is to provide all the AACL students the opportunities to harbor research, oral advocacy and legal drafting skills and other essential prowess to mould an individual into an adept mooter. The Club has also undertaken to educate the fresher batch every year regarding the nuances of mooting, conducting at the start of the year a detailed orientation programme. A competitive AACL Intra Class Moot Court Competition is conducted so that all the students get an exposure to the arena of mooting and the best teams are send to various national and international moot court competitions.

The Moot Club doesn’t just limit itself to Intra-College activities it also indulges itself in various Inter-College competitions. AALC students have taken part in various national and international Moot Court Competitions hosted by many law colleges. AALC moot teams have a tradition of excellence in various Moot Court Competitions in India.

Justitia Club

'Justitia Club', is being constituted as a forum to equip students with the knowledge and tools to cultivate a culture of lawfulness and for nurturing the lawyering skills of our students by organising and engaging them in extracurricular legal events/programmes. 
The main objective of the Club is to educate students through exposure and hands-on experience. This is executed through seminars, workshops, guest speakers, field trips and community service.The Club also provides opportunities for students to network with professionals in varied areas of legal profession.

Writer's Forum 

Lawyers, as catalysts of social change, have a huge responsibility distinct from other disciplines. This sacred responsibility can be achieved only through vociferously writing and publishing against all the indiscipline existing in the society. The WRITER’S FORUM is providing  a platform for the same.  The purpose is to nurture and nourish the research & writing abilities of students and make them equipp to spontaneously respond to current legal issues.  The Forum also gives an opportunity to its members to interact and receive guidance from expert academicians and researchers.

Arts Club

  1. Arts Club has been constituted to create platforms for developing the varied talents of the students and to encourage the talented students to find better opportunities.
  2. The club coordinates on-stage, Off-stage, performing items as well as literary competitions throughout every academic year to create more opportunities for building up the talents and  build confidence to perform in public.
  3. These initiatives meant to enhance the creativity among students and to unite them in the name of art and self expression.

Debate Club

Debate Club  provides the students an opportunity to develop  their writing,speaking and  listening skills  through continuous research, analysis, critical thinking and arguments on varied topics. The objective of the club is to make students confident communicators and empower them to express their beliefs/convictions clearly and precisely. The club also helps the students overcome the challenges, improve confidence and also in developing spontaneous problem solving skills. Debate club play a vital role by making students responsible citizens, trained to challenge and solve the problems in society upholding moral values and legal maxims.

Sports Club

Sports Club at Al Azhar Law College Thodupuzha was formed with the aim of developing physical fitness and promoting teamwork among budding lawyers. In the academic year of 2020-21 , the sports club had conducted selections to the college football team and cricket teams respectively. Both the teams have represented the college at inter-collegiate tournaments.

Nature Club 

Nature always tries to protect us by providing its resources abundantly. Upholding the constitutional mandate of preserving nature, Nature Club  aims at making youth aware of the necessity of conserving nature realizing the fact that natural resources are not only meant for humans but also for all living beings in the globe.          
The objective of Nature Club is:

  1. To develop an uncorrupted natural love for nature.
  2. To provide a platform for students to interact with environmental activists, scientists and other resource persons of government and other departments associated with nature.
  3. To promote the maintenance of natural reserves and protection of species.
  4. To make the campus and surroundings eco friendly by proper disposal of waste without harming nature.
  5. To make students aware of importance of celebrating  days associated
