At Al-Azhar Law College, the moot court culture is a cornerstone of legal education, providing students with invaluable opportunities to develop their advocacy and research skills in a practical setting. Our commitment to fostering this culture is evident through a range of intra- and inter-collegiate moot court competitions. These events encourage students to engage deeply with legal issues, refine their public speaking abilities, and cultivate teamwork.

Participation in moot court competitions not only enhances academic learning but also prepares students for the challenges of real-world legal practice. Our students have consistently demonstrated their talent and determination on the national stage, achieving significant accolades in prestigious competitions.

For instance, Rosemol Siby, a 2nd semester student in the 3-year LLB program, showcased her exceptional research capabilities by winning the Best Researcher award at the National Moot Court Competition organized by Unison University in Dehradun. This recognition is a testament to her dedication and hard work in understanding complex legal concepts.

Moreover, a team comprising Kavya Jayasuriyan, Rosemol Siby, and Smibin Abraham, all in their 3rd semester of the 3-year LLB program, made a remarkable impact by reaching the semifinals of the I.M. Nanavati Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2021-2022 held at GLS University, Ahmedabad. Their achievement not only highlights their legal acumen but also reflects the collaborative spirit and strategic thinking fostered within our moot court program.

Overall, the success of our students in moot competitions exemplifies the strength of our campus culture, which emphasizes rigorous training, intellectual growth, and a passion for the law. This supportive environment encourages all students to strive for excellence, preparing them for successful careers in the legal field.
