Constitution and Objectives

The Remedial Coaching Cell, constituted by Al Azhar Law College, consisting of our faculties Anaswara T T, Arpitha Krishnan, Jani Rejikumar. Remedial classes are offered to students to overcome their academic challenges and succeed in their studies. Remedial classes can help students who are falling behind in their coursework or who need extra support to keep up with their classmates. The remedial classes are introduced for the students of Al Azhar Law College with a view to better equip them to face the examinations and help them score better. By taking remedial classes, students can strengthen their understanding of key concepts and develop the foundational skills necessary to succeed in more advanced coursework. By offering targeted support and guidance, remedial classes can help students feel more capable and confident in their abilities, which can have a positive impact on their overall academic performance. In order for the effective implementation of this idea this cell has been constituted, it is envisaged to conduct the remedial class sessions at the end of each semester.

The main objective of the remedial coaching cell is to provide additional academic support and guidance to students who are facing difficulties in their studies. The cell aims to identify the areas where the students are struggling and provide them with coaching to help them improve their academic performance.

The other objectives are:

  1. To identify the areas where students are facing difficulties in their studies.
  2. To help students develop their study skills, time management, and organizational skills.
  3. To provide additional support and guidance to students during exam preparation.
  4. To conduct revision classes to help students revise and reinforce their learning.
  5. To provide a platform for students to clarify their doubts and queries related to their studies.
  6. To monitor the progress of students and provide feedback to help them improve.
  7. To ensure that every student receives the necessary support to achieve their full potential.
  8. To create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
  9. To promote academic excellence and success among students.

The functions of Remedial coaching cell include:

  1. The remedial coaching cell will identify the students who need extra support in learning after analysing their previous exam results, internal marks, and attendance.
  2. The cell will identify the subjects and areas in which the students need revision. This will be done by analysing the exam patterns and the areas where the students have performed poorly.
  3. The remedial coaching cell will prepare a special timetable in addition to the regular semester timetable. This timetable will include additional classes and revision sessions for the identified subjects and areas.
  4. The students will attend the additional classes and revision sessions as per the special timetable. The focus will be on revising the subjects and areas in an exam point of view.
    The remedial coaching cell will monitor the progress of the students during the additional classes and revision sessions. Feedback will be provided to the students to help them improve their performance.
  5. The remedial coaching cell will provide additional support and guidance to the students during the exam preparation period. This will include clarifying doubts and queries related to the subjects and providing tips and strategies for exam preparation.

Overall, the functioning of a remedial coaching cell during the end of the semester and before the starting of university exams are aimed at providing additional support and guidance to the students to help them improve their academic performance and achieve their full potential.
