Overview
Birds Club International (BCI) is a project initiated by the well-known film director Mr. Jayaraj under the umbrella of Jayaraj Foundation. The club which came into being in 2010 was piloted in a few schools and colleges in Kerala. It is now spreading its wings to a global scale.
This green initiative aims to create rain groves (miniature forests) in all schools, colleges, and public places, connecting students and the public through bird watching, thereby reviving the declining nature and its ecosystem. With a great ambition of building over One lakh of these rain groves, we can make some progress in the climate crisis issue which is severely affecting both humans and other fellow species.
The government of Kerala has already given a green signal to this initiative.
